How to sell access to your content?

1. Create a group

Go to your group manager and create a new group. Set group name and description. Include All users and Logged-in Users security group. Then save.

2. Create a new membership

Go to your paypal plugin admin area and hit the link “Create a new membership”. Set name and short description, price, subscription duration, and group to add subscribers to.

Add a picture if needed and save.

3. Now restrict access to your content

Edit the items you wish to reserve your membership. Select the group “Members” from the dropdown menu, uncheck the read access for anonymous and logged-in users (members). You can edit the permissions of a story, a topic, a forum (forum plugin), a wiki page (dokuwiki plugin), a product (paypal plugin), a media (mediagallery)…

4. Promote membership

Now tell the world you get content to sell.

Users who subscribe online are automatically added to the group you created in step 1. Group members can now access to reserved content during the entire period of their membership. Once the membership expires, the member is automatically removed from the group.
