Geeklog Plugins
Plugins allow you to extend the functionality of Geeklog. Geeklog provides an excellent core set of features to handle user account management, stories, static pages and overall look and feel. Geeklog also provides an excellent set of Application Programming Interfaces (API) that plugins use to integrate new features into Geeklog. Using this modular approach, you can customize your site with just the features you need.
There are several plugins available for Geeklog, but there are also some older ones that no longer work well with the newer releases of Geeklog. The goal is to maintain a list of plugins that work with the current release of Geeklog and try to document their needs. For example, a plugin may work fine with the newer versions of Geeklog but may have a requirement to have register_globals=On, or the plugin may not work well with the later releases of MySQL.
